Yes We Can

The YES WE CAN (NOT A BURDEN) a docudrama project that was supported by VOICE Nigeria portrays the trials and tribulations that families and children with disabilities go through, which range from love and acceptance to denial and abuse. The movie is filled with drama and suspense. Above all, it inspires hope, and shows that children with disabilities are able to progress, live productive lives and families learn that with love and proper intervention, the abilities in disabilities will shine through.

The movie is produced and directed by Amb. Lancelot Oduwarene Imasuen and features other notable personalities including Francis Duru, Empress Njama, Fiona Garuba, Damilola Ogunsi (Goldfish), Adaku Duke, Paul Sambo, Ali Nuhu, Fred Bright and others. The aim of the docudrama is to give voice to persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities, foster their development and demonstrate to the world that no matter the challenges, each person with disability has strength and is able to learn and achieve if given the opportunity.
